Women’s Health Matters
On Sunday 11th February, the Irish Support Agency were delighted to host our first, Women's Health Matters Event in Darling Sq Library.
Over the past number of years, the ISA has received numerous requests for assistance from women who are experiencing a health related crisis. We have supported them in the best way that we can, but we are acutely aware that access to information can be really tough.
This event served as a platform to address the unique challenges women face in accessing healthcare and to foster discussions on preventative care.
It was an incredibly informative and uplifting day, and we were encouraged by the number of young women in attendance who chose to prioritise their health.
Huge appreciation to Peta Brydon, Dr. Katrina Rowan, Amy Aitkenhead and Amanda Tipping for generously giving up their Sunday morning to come and speak to us. All women are extremely experienced and qualified in their related fields so we felt honoured that they were able to join us.
Huge shout out to our incredible volunteers who make events like this happen!
Events like these have a big impact, and we know that they are hugely beneficial, but they come at a cost. If you are interested in sponsoring a community event such as this, please do reach out to Una below.
