Rose Bay to Watsons Bay Walk

Stunning 8km Sydney harbour walk with woodland, secluded covers, picnic facilities and enclosed swimming area.

The walk will begin at 09:30am at the Ferry Terminal in Rose Bay. Those travelling from the City / Edgecliff can also catch the 324/325 bus.

Crossing Lyne Park to Rose Bay Beach, we will follow the Hermitage Foreshore Scenic Walk which offers spectacular harbour views, woodland and secluded coves. On then to Nielson Park/Shark Beach, one of the best harbour beaches in Sydney, with brilliant white sands, clear water, shaded promenade and picnic areas.

From Nielson Park, we will go to Parsley Bay, a beautiful area with an enclosed swimming area and picnic facilities.

Coming down to Watson’s Bay foreshore, through Robertson Park, there will be an opportunity to grab a bite / sample some of Doyle’s delicious seafood. There are toilets / water refill facilities here.

From there, those who choose to do so, can take the walk from Gap Park to Camp Cove and Hornby Lighthouse before returning to the ferry terminal at Watson’s Bay. There are plenty of ‘outs’ for those who may wish to do a shorter section of the walk.

The terrain is not difficult to navigate but is unsuitable for prams. As much of the area is National Parkland, pets are not permitted.

Registrations essential.
